I know several people that are always looking for fun things to do with their children and Tinkergarten looks like something fun for both kids and parents alike! I can remember as a child exploring with my parents, especially my dad in Western Kansas. He loved the outdoors and passed that love to both my sister and myself!
When Scarlett, from Tinkergarten in Manhattan, KS reached out to me I was super excited to share and help her spread the word about Tinkergarten being offered locally. Scarlett is the local leader for Tinkergarten and will be leading classes at Manhattan City Park in Manhattan on Mondays at 4:30 pm, Wednesdays at 10:00 am, and Sundays at 10:00 am starting next week, Jan. 10, 2021! Tinkergarten is offered to children who are 18 months to those that are 8 years old. The classes are designed and led by educators to encourage core skill growth.
I absolutely love the idea of learning through play and even more when you can do it as a family! You can even sign up for at-home classes if you are unable to make in-person sessions. For those who are interested, they also offer grants to help make the classes available for more families. Here are the links for in-person classes, online classes and to apply for grants!
If you are looking to learn more or connect with Scarlett, you can follow her on her social media and her Tinkergarten account here!
Have fun and enjoy exploring where you live!!
