This time of year when most people hear the words "Pumpkin Patch," their first thought is of an open field filled with pumpkins just waiting for a family to come and take them home. While most of the time that is the case, there is one other Pumpkin Patch that is held annually in Manhattan, KS. This Pumpkin Patch is the annual craft fair held at Pottorf Hall in Cico Park.
This annual event is hosted by the women of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. The first year of the Pumpkin Patch craft fair was in 1974 and besides 2020, it has been held every year since! The variety of vendors the event offers allows for everyone to find something they NEED to take home!
It is so fun to walk through the various booths and take in all the creativity of local craftsmen and artists displaying their handmade goods! No surprise to most of you, my other favorite thing is the food! Whether it is being served by the volunteers or some of the baked goods being sold by vendors, this event brings you some of the best to purchase to take home!
Many also use the timing of the Pumpkin Patch to shop for gifts for the upcoming holidays. It is a great way to shop locally and find items unique for family and friends. To keep up with the next event, you can follow them on their website!
