My husband and I love that we have access to farm-fresh beef. We actually purchase a quarter at a time and since it is just the two of us we share with our family! I know several people who would love to purchase farm to table but either they don't really have the freezer space or it is just a little overwhelming all at one time. If that is the case for you, I am here to tell you that you are in LUCK!!
There is a new shop in Alma, Kansas, called Pacheco Beef! Pacheco Beef is going to become your favorite place to buy Flint Hills raised Beef! Whether you go to their storefront in Alma, KS, or have it delivered to your home, you are going to want to place an order!
Arturo and Wrenn Pacheco are the husband and wife duo that are behind Pacheco Beef as well as, their blog, Cooking With the Cowboy! I originally came across Cooking With The Cowboy about six months ago when it was recommended to me by a co-worker. I have enjoyed watching the entire family cooking in the kitchen and sharing what really goes into running their Flint Hills ranch.
Cooking With The Cowboy is truly where their passions collide. Arturo, as a Ph.D. grad from Kansas State University in Ruminant Nutrition, and Wrenn a professional photographer. In addition to sharing their life on the ranch, you will also enjoy some amazing family recipes!
As you follow them on both their Instagram and their blog you will see how their passion for family and community has lead them to open a storefront. It is another way to share and provide quality beef to everyone.
Now, back to the BEEF! You can look through their steaks here and as I mentioned before you can head to the store or order for delivery. When we went, we purchased Rib Eye Steaks, Sirloin Steaks, and Tenderized Round Steak all of them were delicious!
Pacheco Beef also sells some amazing rolling pins, they were hard for me to resist! Handmade in Alma to Arturo's specific specs which we were told makes these rolling pins the perfect size for rolling tortillas. Their children's book about ranching was written by Wrenn for Purchase in-store or on Amazon.
I can't wait to see how the Pacheco Beef store continues to evolve! Since we were there, the Pacheco's have also added Papa Baldy's Popcorn which has been on my list to try for some time now. I know what will be added to our next order!!
