Every time I drive the gravel road up the winery I am still amazed at where I am heading. Perched high on the rocks of the Flint Hills is where you will find the Tasting Room and Event Center. Liquid Art Winery and Estate opened in 2014 as a fully operational winery and event space. Like most businesses, throughout the years they have not only cultivated the business but the ways to bring the community to their space.
Liquid Art Winery and Estate have become a great place to relax and take in the view almost year-round! As the seasons change so do the views and the Flints Hills have some of the best. Especially the sunsets!! Locals meet at the winery to not only relax and enjoy the scenery but to play the various yard games, walk the vineyards, but also to attend some of the many events held at the winery.
The winery is host to more than your typical weddings, reunions, and office events. They have musicians, comedians, open mic night, yoga, and more for people to enjoy! You can keep up with their events via their Facebook page.
Recently, they have added a food menu in addition to their wines and ciders! For those looking to enjoy a meal and drinks, Liquid Art has Artisan Pizzas that are a great alternative to the traditional restaurant or bar/grill. If you are looking for something lighter they also have various Smoked Cheeses and Charcuterie Boards for you can try. Or, if you are headed up for a nightcap and something sweet, they also have chocolates!
The last time I was there I went to a Comedy Show. My friends and I decided to try two of their pizzas, we choose The Winemaker and Mama Marmalade. Both were good and had great flavor. The Winemaker was more traditional while the Mama Marmalade pizza was perfect for those that like a little sweet and a little heat!! As usual, I was hungry and I forgot to snap some pictures. I will do better next time! Lol If you want to check out some photos, you can find several on either their website or Facebook page!
In 2018, Liquid Art launched Dave and Dani Hard Cider. My favorite is the Cherry Limeade, which like many is a seasonal brew! They grew so popular that you can now find them in various local liquor stores if you don't have time to make a trip up the winery!
I hope you will make time to take a trip on one of these beautiful fall afternoons or evenings to enjoy the winery, the views, and of course, all the food and fun that they have to offer!
