Fly MHK-Manhattan, KS Airport

I LOVE Flying from the Manhattan, KS Airport (MHK). It makes travel so much less stressful in every way!!

Flying from the Manhattan Airport is so easy and makes any trip much less stressful. The Manhattan Airport (MHK) is one of my favorite things about living in Manhattan, KS! With daily American Airlines flights to both Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX, Flying MHK makes connection a breeze! As you might have guessed, the Manhattan Airport is a regional airport, there is one gate, parking is close and the best part is after you land you are just a few minutes from your car!

The other fun part of flying Manhattan is that you get great views of the Flint Hills, Tuttle Creek, and Manhattan, KS! Here are some pictures from my last flight back from Las Vegas! If you are curious about some easy trips from Manhattan, follow my page "Journey's From the Middle." There I will chronicle some of my favorite places to travel to and most are flying in and out of MHK!

Every time I arrive at the Manhattan, KS Airport I am constantly in awe of how beautiful it is. The building has a wave in the roofline, just as the waves of our prairies. In the terminal, the West wall is completely lined with windows that allow light to pour into the area as you are waiting for your morning flight!

Flying MHK also provides spectacular views of Manhattan, KS, and the entire Flint Hills region!

The staff is super helpful and friendly. After you get through security you can find a variety of couches, tables, and seating as you wait for your flight. Make sure you check out Bandit Coffee while you wait. They have some amazing breakfast sandwiches and delicious coffee and drinks perfect for a pick me up as you wait for your flight.

Since I am a carry-on girl I also appreciate the option to Valet my bag as we are boarding the plane. It is so much better than taking the time to shove it in the overhead bin. Just place your carry on in the rack as you head to board, take your personal item with you on the plane and there you go. Easy peesy!!!
