If you love Bulgogi, then you need to find your way to the 10th Street Deli Bulgogi Box Truch in Junction City, KS! If you know me, I love food trucks and if you really know me, you know I LOVE Bulgogi! After several attempts, I finally timed it right and was able to grab us some dinner from 10th Street Deli Bulgogi Box Truck.
Since it was our first time I did what I normally do, ordered at least half of the menu. I think you have to, how do you know if you like a place if you don't try a variety of the food served? I ordered two Bulgogi Boxes, one with Chicken and Beef and one with Pork and Beef. The Bulgogi Box comes with meat, rice, Mandu, and housemade Kimchi! I also ordered a Korean Corndog, which I had no clue what that was, and was told it is similar to a mozzarella stick. I also grabbed an order of Kimbob.
First off, the Bulgogi Boxes were huge, I mean I am not sure how much the box of food weighs, but you definitely get your monies worth! The meat was tender and full of flavor, I had no intention of eating the entire box but before I knew it, I had a happy plate!
As a fan of Kimchi, I really liked theirs. You could tell it was homemade and all the veggies still had a great crunch to them. While the boxes come with a side of Kimchi, you can also buy extra and keep it at home!
The Korean Corndog was a new one for me! There are two options, regular or Hot Taki's for my first one, I picked regular, and I figured that would give me a good baseline. The regular is coated in panko and so crispy. I even drove home which was about 20 min and it was still crispy and perfectly gooey like you would expect when you order a mozzarella stick.
To get your Bulgogi fix, you can normally find the Bulgogi Truck in the Audio Junction Parking lot. Currently, they are open, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:30-6:30 pm. While you will occasionally find them at some local events, you can also keep an eye on their Facebook page. There they post the day's menu, in case the location changes, and if the time needs to adjust.
I hope you give them a try and when you do, let me know!
Enjoy!
