While I am still a newbie when it comes to the world of Boba Tea, I am so happy we have options in Manhattan, KS where we can now enjoy Boba. My first trip for Boba was with my niece over a year ago on a trip to Denver. My niece is a Boba aficionado, like this kid would drink Boba every day if she could so when we went to grab dinner and Boba one night I let her order for the both of us!
For those who have never had Boba before, it is not the "tea" you might instantly connect it to. Boba originated in Taiwan, two popular treats, Milk tea, and Boba Pearls were mixed to create this delicious treat. Boba tea is shaken and mixed to a thick, creamy/frothy consistency. Normally on the sweeter side, a boba reminds me of my favorite drink at Starbucks, the Matcha Iced Latte! When you order you are asked if you want pearls in your tea. The "pearls" are tapioca balls that you enjoy while you sip your drink.
While Boba as a whole is sweet and the "pearls" are slightly chewy, Boba Tea comes in many forms and the Boba Pearls can also be filled with fruit juice for an extra burst of sweetness. Like more Boba Tea shops, there is an additional treat being served at Boba Tea and Frozen Yogurt shop in Manhattan, KS!
Ever since Orange Leaf closed, I have been craving frozen yogurt. As a kid, we grew up with the classic TCBY so frozen yogurt has always been a fun treat for me. I loved to see the variety of flavors that they offer at Boba Tea and Frozen Yogurt. From bubble gum to pistachio and classics like vanilla and strawberry they definitely have a flavor for everyone.
Once you select your flavor and add it to your cup, you move on to the topping section. Cereals, nuts, candy bars, and more are waiting to be the finishing touch to your sweet treat. The staff is so helpful and was able to answer this newbie's questions to ensure that I completely enjoyed my drink. Do yourself a favor and in this Kansas heat head to Boba Tea and Frozen Yogurt shop and cool off with some boba and yogurt!
