Axe To Grind is a fun place to enjoy throughout the year. We went during the summer when we were looking to escape the Kansas heat. It is was the perfect spot to meet up with family and friends to enjoy some fun in the AC!!

Our first trip to Axe To Grind was when my brother in law made his first trip to Manhattan. It was the Summertime in Kansas and needless to say, it was HOT! Like most of us, when family and friends come to town you want to show them all the fun things to do. When we were putting our list together, we wanted a spot that we could meet up with a few other relatives and some close friends. We also wanted something that would be fun and different, Axe To Grind fit the bill! We hopped on to their website, reserved our spot and we were ready to go!

The staff was very helpful from the moment we walked in the door. They took the time to explain the rules and also shared with us various games that could be played if you are the competitive type. That was definitely us, so bring on the competition! Especially since I wound up being the only girl there! Pro-Tip, make sure you wear closed-toe shoes. Trust me on this because their shoe selection is less than desirable! LOL

The staff at Axe To Grind was incredibly helpful and shared various games that we could play for a little friendly competition!

We reserved our spot for an hour and it was just the right amount of time. Everyone was able to throw several times, we played a couple of games, had a couple of drinks, and talked a lot of trash to each other so it was a WIN-WIN! I could definitely see how you could spend a couple of hours there if you had a larger group of people and if you also brought in food.

Score Sheet

Axe To Grind has several couches and tables for you to spread out, and it makes it a great place if you decide to bring in your own food to make it more of an event. It also would be a great spot for date night, if you are looking to get out of the house for a bit, or for a place to host a business or group event. They do have various drinks and a few snacks, but food as a whole is, bring your own. With several restaurants nearby it would be very easy to grab food on your way.

I know we will make it back and I hope you have as much fun as we did! I am also making a mental note for next time, I will obviously have to grab a few selfie's because as you can tell, the guys weren't the ones behind the camera!
