Anomaly Pizza

When you marry a New Yorker you are constantly on a quest for good "pie!" I noticed a new pizza place kept coming up in my Facebook feed called Anomaly Pizza and instantly knew we needed to try it.

When it is April in Kansas but the weather thinks it is Jan. pizza is the perfect meal!

If you know my husband and me then you know that we love Pizza! After all, when you are married to a New Yorker that lives in "The Little Apple" you are on a constant quest for good "pie!" A couple of months ago I noticed a new pizza place in Manhattan, KS that kept coming up in my Facebook feed called Anomaly Pizza and instantly knew we needed to try it.

When I clicked on the Anomaly Pizza link to order I quickly realized we were going to have to be patient and plan our order. You have to order at least a week ahead and there are set pick-up times. Make sure you plan ahead, they normally sell out by Wednesday for Friday pick-up! After a few weeks of being out of town and one week of forgetting to order soon enough, we were on the list!

All the pizzas at Anomaly Pizza have a sourdough crust and fired in a wood fire oven here in Manhattan, KS.

All the pizzas at Anomaly Pizza have a sourdough crust and they are cooked in a wood fire oven. After looking at the menu, we chose the Pizza Bianca, Carnitas y Elote' and the Bee Sting! The Pizza Bianca reminds me of a white pie, it has shallot & white wine mornay, fior di latte, plus we added Kalamata Olives. It was a nice cheesy white pie and we were happy we added the olives to break up the richness.

The Carnitas y Elote' is topped with carnitas, roasted corn, fior di latte, cotija, cilantro, ground chipotle pepper & eloté sauce. This was probably my favorite pizza of the three we choose. It was so flavorful and the pop of the roasted corn with the richness of the elote' sauce was perfectly balanced. Last up, the Bee Sting!

The Bee Sting at Anomaly Pizza brings the heat with its toppings of Anomaly pomodoro, soppressata, fior di latte, Calabrian chilis, basil, honey.

The Bee Sting brings the heat with its toppings of Anomaly pomodoro, soppressata, fior di latte, Calabrian chilis, basil, honey. If you are looking for more heat, you can add the optional candied serranos for "more sting." We ordered our pizza heat level, normal and that was plenty spicy for us. Now, we like some heat, but the whole Calabrian Chilis really warmed us up on the cold rainy night! LOL I would totally order this again, only I might order with the Calabrian Chilis on the side! Thank goodness for their honey butter! I think the butter is only for the crust, but on the Bee Sting, we melted it on each slice! LOL

Pick up for Anomaly Pizza is in the Front Parking lot at Vista Burger!

Ordering is simple, you just need to plan ahead! You can order Anomaly Pizza through their website or their Facebook Link. Pick up is simple, you head to another local favorite, Vista Burger, and text the number you are given. In a few minutes, your pizzas are delivered to your car! Remember, order early, Monday or Tuesday at the latest so that you have the most choices for pick-up times!
